Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plans and Medicare Advantage (Part C) plans are two different options that provide additional coverage to Original Medicare (Part A and Part B). They serve distinct purposes and are appropriate for different healthcare needs and preferences.
Medicare Supplement (Medigap) Plans: These are typically appropriate for individuals who want predictable, low out-of-pocket costs and the freedom to see any Medicare-accepting healthcare provider. They are an excellent choice for people who need frequent medical care, travel extensively, or prefer simplicity in healthcare expenses.
Medicare Advantage (Part C) Plans: These are appropriate for individuals looking for comprehensive coverage, including prescription drugs and additional benefits like dental and vision care. Medicare Advantage can be a cost-effective option for those who are generally healthy and don't mind staying within a network of providers.
Here's a breakdown of the key differences between these
two types of plans and when each may be appropriate:

Open Enrollment
We encourage you to seize the opportunity during the Open Enrollment Period, from October 15 to December 7, to review your Medicare plan. Healthcare needs can change over time, and this annual assessment ensures that your coverage continues to serve your evolving requirements. It's a chance to explore any necessary adjustments, including the option to switch to a different Medigap plan or provider, all without the hassle of medical underwriting.
If you're new to Medicare, remember that while Original Medicare is relatively straightforward, it's essential to actively enroll in Part B if it's not done automatically, and I'm here to guide you through the process.
Initial Enrollment Period (IEP): This is the first opportunity for most people to enroll in Medicare. It starts three months before your 65th birthday month and ends three months after your birthday month. For example, if your birthday is in June, your IEP would be from March 1st to September 30th.
We are dedicated to being your healthcare partner, working closely with you to craft a coverage solution that aligns perfectly with your unique needs, medical concerns, and lifestyle choices.
Our mission is to provide you with the knowledge and options necessary for making the best informed decisions about your healthcare. Your health and well-being are at the heart of every recommendation we make.
